ISZOMM (Igen Szolidaritás Magyarországért Mozgalom – Yes Solidarity with Hungary Movement) a recently established political party of the Hungarian left has nominated Mr. Tibor SZANYI, former MEP as prime minister nominee challenging Mr. Viktor ORBÁN’s regime during its Congress held in Budapest, last Saturday (18 July).
This move is the first one of its kind for the upcoming general elections due in Spring 2022. Mr. SZANYI’s programme is aimed to overcome the growing social, moral and environmental crisis of his country by arguing for secure income to all.
He said, moreover, in his inaugural speech: “There is little room for environmental improvements if social conditions are scarce.”
ISZOMM Congress has confirmed its founding President, Andrea Huszti, a trade unionist activist in her office. Next political rally is expected for 12 September under the flag of the “Workers Pride Day”.
